Shockwave Chapter Two

5 years later

Errrrrggggrgrgrgegrgegrrge! Adrian’s alarm clock went off.

He rolled out of bed trying to turn his alarm clock off  instead landing on the floor with a thump.

He went into his closet and got dressed. He went downstairs and smelled his moms cooking. He also smelled something burning!

Adrian rushed downstairs. “Mom, mom, mom?” Adrian yells looking around and his eyes land on his mom using a fire extinguisher to take out a burnt egg. “Hey kiddo.” She says panting for breath. Adrian tries to force out a smile but instead he gets a small giggle out.

 “Hey.” She says acting like she is hurt.

Adrian eats breakfast then they hop in the car. They drive about five houses down and stop. Adrian gets out of the car and knocks on the front door.

He looks up at the window on the side of the house and sees his best friend Garret playing video games. He waves his arms and hands up at the window to get Garrett’s attention.

Garret looks outside and sees Adrian and knows it’s time to go.

He hops out of his gaming chair and stumbles to the floor.

The door is opened by Garrett’s little sister Tami. “Hey Adrian. You look buffer than the last time I saw you, and taller.” She says lifting her shoulders back and forth and uses her tippy toes to get closer to his face.

Adrian leans back.

 “I saw you yesterday at Garret’s last day of summer party Tami .” Adrian gets freaked out by Tami cause she likes him and she does it in a very awkward way. It makes it even weirder the fact being that she is in 6th grade while he is going into 9th grade. “Tami, are you being awkward with Adrian again?” Garret yells from upstairs. Garret comes down the stairs and shoves his little sister out of the way. As he closes the door Tami says, “See you at the wedding, future Husband.” The door closes. “Sorry about her, she can be annoying like that sometimes.” Garret says looking at the door.

 “It’s okay I understand where she gets it from.” Adrian says, looking at Garret with a smirk. “Hey!” Garret playfully pushes Adrian. 

The boys hop in the car and they start heading to school. As they drive they go by a group of girls. One of which is Ruby.

 “Adrian go get yo gal.” Garret says with a slight nudge.

  Adrian turns to look at Garret and he has an angry look on his face. 

 “Hey Ruby!” Garret shouts. Adrian shoves Garret down putting his foot on his face.

Ruby looks at Adrian who smiles in a weird way and shyly waves his hand.

The girls all giggle then they drive past. 

Adrian releases his foot from Garrett’s face. He comes off the floor and sits with a smug on his face. “We’re here.” Adrian’s mother says. 

Adrian walked in through the door taking a deep breath in and a deep breath out. 

“Welcome to class, children. My name is Mrs. Metrason,” Mrs. Metrason wrote her name on the chalk board. “I will be your science teacher. Now I know usually on the first day of school it’s all easy breezy, but today we will be doing a lab experiment that will stretch your brain!” For some reason Mrs. Metrason jumped into the closet and came out looking like Ms. Frizzle. She had a white stained lab coat, and her hair was all crazy. It held objects like pencils, scissors, glue sticks, tape, and an object that we will not mention in this book for the sake of sanitism. 

Adrian got paired with a very weird kid. 

His appearance or anything wasn’t weird just the way he acted.

He had orange freckles, crazy orange hair, and what seemed like broken glasses. 

Throughout the whole experiment all he did was pick his nose and name each one.

 “Julie, Freddy, Ashley, Houston…” He went on and on. Adrian was struggling. He was definitely not the smartest kid in the school. The kid didn’t help. Not only was he naming his boogers and not helping, he kept on asking when he got a girl booger, “What do you think about her? Is she your type?” Adrian would just stare at the kid dumbfounded. Then when he pulled one booger out and said, “It’s her! Oh my sweet darling, I have had to look deep inside for you Zina!” It was true the kid had really reached into his nose for that one.

Adrian could tell because it was one of the slimiest, squishiest, boogers he had ever seen. 

Then the kid did something disgusting, he ATE the BOOGER.

Adrian tried to stay focused.

The kid raised his hand. “Mrs. Metrason, may I go potty?” There were a couple of giggles around the room. Adrian honestly felt bad for the kid. “Yes,” she replied.

Suddenly there was a big fart and when the kid got up to walk to the bathroom, brown blobs fell from his pants.

 POOOP! “Ewww!” The whole class yelled.

Kids ran out of the classroom holding their shirts to their noses.

 “Kids come back!” Mrs. Metrason called. But soon nobody could stand the stench. Everybody exited the classroom.

Then when Stella Stanfield the President of the Drama Club came out of the room she fainted. 

The rest of the day went by smoothly, NOT! When Adrian and Garret walked out of the school they bumped into none other than Chet and his gang of bullies. 

 “Where are you going, dorks?” Chet asked Adrian and Garret. 

 “None of your business,” Adrian replied firmly. Chet pushed Garret aside and walked right at Adrian sizing him up. Even though there was no need to, because Chet was about 6 foot, and Adrian was still only at 5 ‘5.

 Chet’s buddies ran at Adrian and grabbed his arms. Adrian knew what was about to happen and he didn’t like it.

 They held Adrian still while Chet brought his fist back.

 Multiple students started to gather around to watch.

 Then BLAM Uppercut right at Adrian’s nose. 

 Soon there were about fifty students all gathered around in a circle watching the beating.

 Adrian was pretty sure he had a very bloody nose and a black eye! 

 Adrian saw a couple of teachers in the back trying to push through the crowd of students, but came to no avail. Garret was also being held onto, but thankfully not getting a beating.

 Chet had a ginormous smile on his face preparing to punch Adrian again.

 All heroes have to start somewhere right. This is where the legend of SHOCKWAVE begins. 

Adrian felt a surge run through his body. A surge like nonother.

It took him with a wave of shock. 

 It was like the winds of all the corners of the earth had been released. When Chet’s fist made contact with Adrian’s body electricity leaped out exploding on every corner!

 Chet and everybody flew back! 

 Adrian stood there sparks coming off of him.

 Adrian just stood and stared. Then he started to run. He ran and ran, gaining speed with  every step. He reached his house which is 20 miles away in 3 minutes! 

 He ran into his house and into his room running into the wall.

 He lay on the floor with his shoes with holes and sores.

 Adrian had SUPERPOWERS!!!!!
